ACPoR in Butuan City, Philippines 2008
Butuan City – International Fund for Agriculture Development – Philippines (IFAD-Phil) launches its First Annual Country Programme Review (ACPoR) from May 27-30, 2008 at Dottie’s Place, Butuan City.
This year’s host is the Northern Mindanao Community Initiatives and Resource Management Project (NMCIREMP) with participants from IFAD, the Department of Agrarian Reform, Department of Agriculture, Department of Trade and Industry, National Economic Development Authority, National Commission on Indigenous Peoples, and Non-Government Organizations like the Mindanao Coalition Development (MINCODE) and Kasanyangan Rural Development Foundation Incorporated (KRDFI).

1st IFAD mission embarks on NMCIREMP areas
The first International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) direct supervision to the Northern Mindanao Community Initiatives and Resource Management Project (NMCIREMP) held in Butuan City.
In line with this, the NMCIREMP Project Facilitation Office (PFO) facilitated the line-up activities from Feb.26 to March 07 highlighting what the project has accomplished in its fifth years of existence. Project site visits, fieldwork, workshop and meetings with relevant partners and staff highlighted the ten- day event.

Panaghukot 2008 succesfully held
In continuing pursuit on the progress of the Abaca Industry, the DAR-IFAD/NMCIREMP (Northern Mindanao Community Initiatives and Resource Management Project) in cooperation with the Local Government Unit of Marihatag, Surigao del Sur, sponsored recently the “Panaghukot 2008 Caraga Abaca Stakeholders’ Summit at Tree Park Marihatag, Surigao del Sur.
